Question by : Can I go to the North Avenue Beach in Chicago if it’s not officially open yet?

It’s a beautiful day and I’m wondering if I’ll just get kicked off the beach if I trek down there. I heard it opens Memorial Day Weekend, but I’ve also heard it opens primeval if there’s warm weather.

You can go down to the beach any day, of the year, that you want – just be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty until the beach officially opens.
